Puddles under the washer?

'Leak' is a location, not a diagnosis. Front, back, during fill or during spin — the where and when name the part.

LIKELY CAUSES, IN ORDER

What usually did it.

01

Door boot seal (front-loaders)

Nicked or moldy folds weep at the door's bottom edge during wash. The classic front-of-machine, mid-cycle leak.
02

Drain pump or its clamps

Water at the back corner during drain. A cracked pump housing or aged clamp — both definitive under inspection.
03

Inlet valve or fill hoses

Leaks while filling, or worse, while idle. Aged rubber hoses are the one genuine flood risk in the room — we replace them on sight when they bulge.
04

Tub seal

Water arriving with a bearing rumble is the sober one — often the verdict where we talk replacement instead of repair. You'll hear it straight.
BEFORE YOU BOOK

Three checks that are safe to try.

SAFE CHECKMap the puddle

Front vs back, fill vs spin. Two observations cut the suspect list in half before anyone opens a panel.

SAFE CHECKCheck the detergent drawer

Oversudsing from excess HE detergent forces foam out the drawer — the one 'leak' that costs nothing to cure.

SAFE CHECKTurn off the taps if it drips while idle

An idle-machine leak is supply-side. Close both valves behind the machine and book; that one shouldn't wait.

HOW WE CLOSE IT

The visit, plainly described.

We reproduce the leak — a short cycle with the panels positioned to watch — because guessing at water is how wrong parts get sold. Pressure-testing and dye confirm the source when it hides. Then one written all-in figure: boot replacements and clamp work near the from-price, pumps mid-range, and hose pairs replaced with steel-braided upgrades as standard practice.

Every leak visit ends with the floor check: we look for swelling or staining under and behind the machine and say what we see. Catching subfloor damage early is worth more than the repair itself.

ASKED OFTEN

On this fault specifically.

Is a small leak urgent, really?

More than it looks. Laundry-room floors hide water under the machine where it soaks subfloor for weeks before showing. Anything beyond a one-time drip deserves a booking this week — and until then, run the machine only while you're home.

Mold on the door boot — replace or clean?

Surface mildew cleans; folds that hold black staining or feel tacky are past saving, and torn folds always leak eventually. A boot replacement restores the seal and kills the smell in one move. We'll tell you which side of the line yours sits on from a two-minute inspection.

Do you replace the hoses even if they're not the leak?

We recommend it when the rubber shows age — bulges, stiffness, rust at the fittings. Burst fill hoses cause the catastrophic version of this problem, the one with a flooded kitchen below. Steel-braided replacements add modest cost inside the same visit and remove the room's biggest risk.

BOOK A REPAIR

One number in writing. Everything inside it.

Send the symptom or the code exactly as the display shows it. A weekday callback confirms your window, and the van loads for your machine before it leaves Kennewick.

Approve the quote

The all-in price covers diagnosis, labor and parts. It doesn't move after work starts.

Or decline it

$95 for the visit and diagnosis is the whole bill — if the fix costs too much or the machine isn't worth it, that's all you owe.

Tell us what's going on.

Code from the display, or plain words — both work.

Approve the repair and the all-in price covers everything. Decline it, and $95 for the visit and diagnosis is all you owe.
